Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale National Park is a national park in western Uganda, protecting moist evergreen rainforest. It is 766 square kilometers in size and ranges between 1,100 meters and 1,600 meters in elevation. Despite encompassing primarily moist evergreen forest, it contains a diverse array of landscapes. Kibale forest is more than just chimpanzees which makes it the East African primate haven. The park hosts over 13 primate species including some of the endangered primates like L'Hoest and has the largest population of red colobus monkeys in East Africa.
